We’re having a party to thank God for the birth of our daughter, Avigail Carmel, two weeks ago.
It’s doubling as a housewarming party. I started building our house in Ayyir Hashachar, a hilltop past Kochav Hashachar, two years ago. There were unexpected adverse events, but with the help of Hashem and the community, we were able to finish building and move in last Sukkot.

I feel very grateful to Hashem to be part of a very unique community of Torah Jews dedicated to settling and building the Land of Israel, and to be able to build a large Jewish family here. I would like to invite all who share this general vision to come out and hang out with us this Sunday evening, starting at 7 PM and going as long as it goes.
Local wine and a roast local Awassi sheep will be served.
Please RSVP.
PS The Machon Herut workshop building is progressing and should be operational within a month or a month and a half, God willing. The first year’s classes will include solar oven and rocket mass heater construction, food canning, tactical radio use, FPV drone construction and operation, and more!
Mazel tov!
Congratulations and best wishes Baruch to you and your family on the birth of your daughter - wishing you all safety , health and happiness. Also thanks for some really good interviews especially with Professor Aumann, Richard Spence, Tim Lynch, Edward Luttwak - there’s a lot in there. Also from far away I find it interesting to hear stories about how things work for normal people in your country - like being handed a baby by a stranger or hitchhiking in the countryside. When I was a kid everyone tried hitching- you never see it here any more. Maybe we were naive or a more innocent time.
